Acupuncture
In the early 70’s I lived in Malaysia and I started to be interested in Acupuncture. I was amazed by the success of acupuncture given as the anaesthesia for major surgery, which was being successfully performed by placing acupuncture needles on some of the Meridians.
It was known to the West only to a selected few until that time, now there is an explosion of interest. Today acupuncture is one of the most popular and effective contemporary healing techniques, practised in almost every country. But what is new it is the way acupuncture is finding its way through the Beauty sector, Cosmetic healing.
I was taught acupressure by Marguerite Maury (the legendary pioneer of aromatherapy), which was similar to shiatsu as both techniques have a similarity with acupuncture. Acupressure involves pressing specific points on the meridians to stimulate or sedate the flow of vital energy in the body and using finger pressure only. In Cosmetic healing, acupuncture helps the blood flow in vital part of the face and is concern to bring energy back in those areas, using the needles on specific part of the face and neck, following the yang meridians.
Helping in case of bad circulation, loss of collagen, pale colour, lack of tone and texture and also dealing with wrinkles. It can be very helpful around menopause time and in case of premature ageing of the face.
The pathways of the meridians were first charted many thousands of years ago, but they have since been mapped and measured by modern technological methods. Yin meridians run from the toes upwards. Yang meridians run from the head and fingertips down to the toes.
The treatments can be obtained from different practitioners but the essential points to those treatments is to follow each session by using an application of Organic essential oils mixed in an organic base oil, well chosen and gently massage on certain part of the face after each session to maximize the effect of rejuvenation.
Look at my website for The Organic Essential oils and Base Oils for rejuvenation, and my ‘Youth & Beauty Pack’ is an important item to help those treatments.
Best wishes

Meditation with Aromatherapy Essential Oils
Meditation is not only a process of contemplation or reflection, it is certainly not day dreaming or a simple relaxation. It is more than that. It involves training your attention and awareness, bringing this mental process under your control. For me this process is part of self- development adding benefits of enhancing my physical and psychological well-being. Aromatherapy essential oils can be a wonderful help with meditation.
Since the early 1960s researchers have been investigating the specific effects of meditation on the human mind and body.
Last week in Paris, I was reading in the national newspaper, Le Figaro, a special 4 page article, on research findings and evidence with investigating responses to stress. They found that people who meditated were found to respond more rapidly and more positively to potential stress and stressors. Their heart activity returned to normal faster than non-mediators once the potential threat has passed. All the studies were done on voluntary Buddhist monks.
The practice of meditation originated app. 6000 years ago. Certain forms of meditation were used by different religious groups. Most of the forms we know today are essentially of eastern origin.
Meditation teaches us to control rather than been controlled by our thoughts and emotions. Most minds go from one subject to another in a string of endless associations which you can detect when you watch yourself carefully.
Meditating can be most useful in the challenges and tasks found in our daily life .It helps to make intentional mental processes such as planning and problem–solving. Meditations take many forms, some more complex practices than others. The type of meditation you practise has not too much importance as long as you feel comfortable and enjoy doing it.
It is however important that you are consistent, regular and dedicated to your technique. You will gradually begin to notice subtle but definite changes that will intensify as your practice deepens.
The breathing method is a technique when your focal point is all on your breathing.
I will suggest that you use a blend of aromatherapy organic essential oils and allow your awareness to focus on the rising and falling of your abdomen and also on the aromas flowing through your nostrils. Let you breath come naturally, enjoy breathing the aromas.
You can use this method for 10 to 20 minutes each day
Use in the blend Orange, Petit Grain, Ylang Ylang. Couple of drops of each placed in a bowl of hot water place near where you meditate.
Relax and enjoy.
Best wishes
